Euroairlines has entered into a strategic agreement with Sopra Steria to integrate artificial intelligence into key areas of its business as part of a wider drive to improve efficiency, profitability and market positioning.
The Spanish company, which specialises in air distribution, said the partnership with the European consulting and digital services group establishes a framework for collaboration across three main functions: revenue management, operations and customer service.
In revenue management, Euroairlines plans to use advanced analytics to benchmark its pricing against the wider market and adjust fares dynamically in line with demand. The company said this should strengthen competitive positioning and support margin optimisation.
On the operations side, the agreement includes the automation of reservation management, reporting processes and system communications. Euroairlines expects this to reduce manual workloads, minimise errors and lift productivity.
Customer service will also be reshaped through AI, with planned automation covering the information provided to passengers and travel agencies as well as processes including bookings, payments, changes, cancellations and refunds. The company said the result should be faster, more efficient service at lower operating cost.
Antonio López-Lázaro, chief executive of Euroairlines, described the agreement as a decisive step in the company’s growth strategy. He said AI would not only improve efficiency but also strengthen revenue generation through more accurate, data-driven decision-making. He added that the technology would improve internal processes and raise the standard of service offered to airlines, agencies and passengers.
Antonio Peñalver, managing director of Sopra Steria in Spain, said the application of AI at Euroairlines would reshape the experience across the air transport value chain by enabling more agile processes, faster response times and more personalised services.
Sopra Steria will support implementation by drawing on its broader expertise in consulting and digital transformation. Through the partnership, Euroairlines aims to reinforce its position as an innovative player in air distribution and confirm artificial intelligence as a core driver of growth, efficiency and profitability.
