Jettainer has appointed Pinar Meitzner as managing director of Jettainer Americas, overseeing the company’s operations and business development across North and South America. She will replace Shailendar Kothari, who will retire at the end of 2026 after serving nearly seven years at the company.
In her new position Meitzner will work on strengthening customer and business partner relationships across the region and support Jettainer’s efforts to identify and pursue further growth opportunities in the Americas.
Meitzner has many years of experience in the aviation catering industry. Most recently she was head of commercial US at DO & CO and has held various leadership positions with LSG Sky Chefs in Europe and the United States.
She has built strong relationships with airlines and expanded international customer networks and contributed to business growth in highly competitive aviation markets throughout her career. Jettainer wants to use that expertise to strengthen its commercial footprint and grow its business in the Americas.
“Meitzner’s industry knowledge and professional network will be a key asset for the company’s regional ambitions,” said Jettainer CEO Jan-Wilhelm Breithaupt. He pointed to her international contacts and knowledge of the aviation industry as well as her know-how in dealing with airlines, which will form the basis for Jettainer’s development plans.
Breithaupt also expressed his thanks to Kothari for his contribution, highlighting his role in the development of the company’s business and its position in the Americas.
Meitzner said she was eager to work with Jettainer’s employees, customers and partners. Among her priorities are growing the business throughout the region and further developing existing relationships.
Kothari has helped Jettainer grow its business across the Americas and deepen its relationships with customers during his time with the company. His retirement will mean the end of almost seven years with the company, handing over the responsibility to Meitzner and a team Jettainer feels is well positioned to keep pushing forward with its regional business.
The appointment comes as Jettainer looks to strengthen its footprint in the Americas, with Meitzner’s commercial experience and industry connections set to help drive the next stage of the company’s growth.
