Group Concorde is stepping into a new role in Vietjet Air Cargo’s regional push after it was appointed General Sales & Service Agent (GSSA) for Japan and Indonesia from August 2026.
The partnership gives Group Concorde responsibility for representing Vietjet Air Cargo commercially in both markets, with a focus on growing sales, strengthening customer relationships and identifying new opportunities for the carrier’s cargo business.
The choice of Japan and Indonesia is significant. Both countries are important air freight markets in Asia-Pacific, giving Vietjet Air Cargo an opportunity to deepen its commercial presence in two strategically relevant economies.
Group Concorde will draw on its local teams in both countries, along with its experience representing airlines, to develop the carrier’s customer base and support sustainable cargo growth.
Praveen Narayanan, Vice President – Asia Pacific at Group Concorde, said the company was pleased to begin working with Vietjet Air Cargo, noting the important role Japan and Indonesia play in the region’s air cargo market.
He said the teams on the ground would concentrate on providing dedicated service, strengthening customer connections and identifying new business opportunities while working closely with Vietjet Air Cargo to expand its presence.
The agreement brings together Group Concorde’s regional knowledge and airline representation experience with Vietjet Air Cargo’s growing network.
For shippers and freight forwarders, the new partnership is expected to make Vietjet’s cargo capacity and connectivity more accessible in Japan and Indonesia. Through Vietnam, customers will also have access to connections into wider Asia-Pacific and international markets.
The appointment therefore gives Vietjet Air Cargo an additional commercial platform in two key markets while giving Group Concorde a greater role in supporting the airline’s international cargo ambitions.
