Globe Air Cargo (GAC) France, part of the ECS Group, is playing a key role in strengthening Nippon Cargo Airlines’ (NCA) position in the French market, serving as a single sales point as integration continues following NCA’s acquisition by All Nippon Airways (ANA).
In close coordination with both ANA and NCA, GAC France is tasked with supporting commercial development while improving load factors and enhancing digital-driven sales processes across the network.
Jean Ceccaldi, CEO of ECS Group, described the initiative as a strategic moment in the evolution of the combined cargo offering. He said GAC France is positioned at the core of this integration, with a clear mandate to optimise NCA’s capacity and network usage while reinforcing its market presence in France.
Over the next 6 to 12 months, the focus will be on increasing visibility for NCA in the French market, expanding and consolidating key accounts, and strengthening relationships with both existing partners and new potential customers. Ceccaldi also highlighted that the combination of freighter and passenger capacity within the ANA-NCA structure creates a broader and more flexible product offering for clients, covering more destinations and capacity options through a single interface.
GAC France already operates a centralised ANA Cargo team handling sales and customer follow-up across key vertical sectors, including aerospace, pharmaceuticals, automotive and high-tech. With the integration of NCA, the portfolio will expand further to include oversize cargo, charter operations (CAO), and other high-value or specialised commodities.
NCA currently operates Boeing 747-8F freighters on five weekly services from Paris-Charles de Gaulle, connecting via Amsterdam or Frankfurt to multiple destinations in Japan, including Narita, Haneda, Okinawa, Kansai, Nagoya and Fukuoka.
The network is further supported by daily services to Hong Kong and Shanghai, three weekly flights to Bangkok, and twice-weekly connections to Singapore and Taipei.
Franck Tordjman, Managing Director of Globe Air Cargo France, said the partnership combines local market expertise with a strong global network, enabling new commercial opportunities while improving efficiency and visibility across key verticals.
He emphasised that as networks expand and product complexity increases, operational efficiency becomes even more critical. According to him, this is where digitalisation plays a central role, fully embedded across ECS Group’s operations.
GAC France is leveraging digital tools such as the CargoAi booking platform for real-time capacity access and instant quote-to-book functionality, alongside SkyPallet technology to optimise cargo space utilisation.
ANA Holdings completed its acquisition of Nippon Cargo Airlines from NYK in August last year. Since then, ANA and NCA have been progressively integrating their cargo operations, including the launch of codeshare arrangements to streamline access to capacity across both networks.
In March, ANA confirmed it would accelerate the merger of sales and warehousing operations between NCA and ANA Cargo outside Japan, creating a unified sales structure. From 1 April, customers outside Japan are expected to access a single point of contact across the combined network, regardless of operating carrier.
