Jayud Global Logistics Limited (NASDAQ: JYD), a Shenzhen-based leader in cross-border logistics, has successfully launched its first exclusive chartered air cargo route connecting Fuzhou, China and Jakarta, Indonesia, marking a major milestone in the company’s expansion into Southeast Asia.

The inaugural flight took place on March 21, 2025, with the service operating three times per week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays—using Boeing 737-800 aircraft capable of carrying up to 18 tons of cargo per flight.

Designed with specialized logistics in mind, the route is uniquely equipped to handle products containing lithium-ion batteries, in compliance with IATA guidelines PI966 through PI970. This positions Jayud as a key logistics player in the transportation of sensitive and regulated high-demand goods, particularly for e-commerce customers.

“This exclusive air route marks a significant expansion of our air freight capabilities in Southeast Asia,” said Xiaogang Geng, Chairman and CEO of Jayud Global Logistics. “Our ability to safely and efficiently transport lithium battery products addresses a critical market need while supporting the rapid growth of e-commerce in the region.”

The new Fuzhou–Jakarta service is strategically aligned with the surging Southeast Asian e-commerce boom, which mirrors strong momentum seen in the MENA region, where market projections show a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11.5% through 2028. Jayud aims to capitalize on this growth by offering tailored, tech-enabled logistics solutions that meet the needs of cross-border digital commerce.

This new charter route complements Jayud’s broader logistics ecosystem, which includes procurement, warehousing, inventory management, and streamlined customs processes—all aimed at minimizing delivery times and maximizing operational efficiency across borders.

“E-commerce continues to be a significant driver of international logistics demand,” Geng added. “By establishing this exclusive air corridor, we’re enhancing our service offerings and strengthening the commercial ties between China and Southeast Asia while supporting the specialized shipping needs of the e-commerce sector.”

Headquartered in Shenzhen, Jayud operates a global logistics footprint across 12 provinces in China and 16 countries across six continents. With strong IT capabilities and proprietary systems, the company offers a full spectrum of freight forwarding, supply chain management, and value-added services to its global client base.

As lithium battery regulations tighten and e-commerce demand accelerates across emerging markets, Jayud’s Fuzhou–Jakarta corridor represents a forward-looking model of specialized, resilient, and scalable cross-border logistics.
