Azerbaijan Airlines has signed a new ULD management agreement with ACL Airshop, which will manage the carrier’s pallet fleet and expand its range of aviation equipment management services.
Signed in August 2026, the contract will see Azerbaijan Airlines benefit from a range of operational and digital support services to enhance the availability and visibility of its Unit Load Devices (ULDs).
Pallet fleet management
The agreement entails ACL Airshop managing inventory control, pallet positioning and recovery, repair coordination and digital ULD tracking.
The company will use its regional resources and global ULD network to assist Azerbaijan Airlines in maintaining a strong supply of pallets throughout its operations.
ACL Airshop will also tap into its partner network in Azerbaijan, the Balkans and Central Asia to support the airline as it grows its network and cargo operations.
The digital tracking element is anticipated to give more visibility to ULD locations and movements, and the company’s repair and recovery services will help keep equipment available.
Increased ULD management operations
The deal adds to a growing portfolio of ULD management contracts for ACL Airshop with airlines and cargo operators.
In July 2026, the company extended its ULD Supply & Management Agreement for another five years with Kalitta Air. Under that agreement, ACL Airshop remains responsible for fleet control, repair and maintenance, net replacement, global logistics, digital tracking, analytics, customer support and reporting throughout Kalitta Air’s international cargo network.
The new agreement with Azerbaijan Airlines further strengthens ACL Airshop’s position in the Eurasian air cargo market and creates a broader operational partnership between the two companies.
